Pileo expanso, hygrophano, atomato, e rufo pallescente; stipite elongato, sericeo-afurfuraceo, pallido, eximie fistuloso; lamellis latis, crassis, distantibus, dente decurrente, adnatis, rufis, acie pallidis.On a wooden pavement. Sibbertoft, Oct. 28, 1870.Pileus 12 inch across, margin crenate; stem 21 inches high, 11 line thick, narrowly but distinctly fistulose; gills 2 lines broad, connected by veins, rufous, then brown-purple. Spores black.Resembling A. confragosus so closely that, till the sporen veere observed, it was taken for that species.1279. Hygrophorus turundus, var. mollis.
