"5. * argentea. Stem herbaceous, erect; leaves deltoid, subcordata, somewhat obtuse, entire, on both sides canescently furfuraceous and shining; fruit subpedunculate, oval, compressed, and obtuse, margin acutely toothed.
OBS. About a foot high ans considerably branched. Leaves a little attenuated on the petiole, uppermost subsessile. Fruit axillary, nearly naked on the back. Allied to A. sibirica? HAB. On sterile and saline places near the Missouri. ☉"

Kennzeichen:
☉ Nord- und Mittelamerika, auch gefunden in Finnland (1940); Grasland, Steppen, Ruderal, Bahngelände, salztolerant. Bis 80 cm hoch. Laubblätter deltaförmig, Rand flach gebuchtet, jung silbergrau bemehlt, älter mehr graugrün. Blüten geknäuelt. Vorblättter rundlich bis rhomboid, etwas breiter als hoch, Rand gezahnt, dorsal manchmal mit Protuberanzen. Samen 1,5-2 mm, braun.
